When? Where? Event Sponsorship Opportunities: |
CITYCENTRE Houston is kicking off a new "Friday Art on the Plaza" program. The goal is to create an experience similar to SOHO in New York, French Quarter of New Orleans, Montmartre in Paris - with artists displaying, selling and even creating work around the Plaza every Friday evening. USAF is curating the event on Friday October 22nd - with a Black & White Western theme. We will provide an interesting and diverse mix of artists, and there will be live music by Mark Zeus Duo Country & Western Acoustic! We are inviting all of our participating artists and supporters to join us on the Plaza and enjoy live presentations and collective works. Artists - if you are interested in participating in this unique event, please email us for more details. Supporters - anyone interested in attending this event can email us or RSVP via our Facebook page. |

When? Where? |
Our 7th annual major fundraising event took place on October 23, 2009. This highly successful charity art auction gives many local and national artists the opportunity to give something back to the community by contributing their art to be auctioned off throughout the evening. There is always a wide ranging art line up to place bids on - traditional, modern and contemporary pieces. We paid tribute to Texan artist Larry Keith, who sadly lost his fight with cancer in July 2009. Larry was inducted into the USAF "Honored Artists Life Time Achievement in Art" Hall of Fame. His most well known works were exhibited and an award presented to his family. Go to Hall of Fame page to read more about Larry ... ![]() Since 1944, almost 700,000 patients have turned to M. D. Anderson for cancer care in the form of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy or combinations of these and other treatments. At M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, important scientific knowledge gained in the laboratory is rapidly translated into clinical care. In 2005, the institution spent more than $342 million in research, an increase of approximately 86% in the last five years. M. D. Anderson now ranks first in the number of grants awarded and total amount of grants given by the National Cancer Institute. Click here for more information about M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. |

The premise of the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund is to lend a helping hand to professional rodeo athletes and their families in the event of catastrophic injuries resulting from professional rodeo activities

Proceeds also go to USAF projects (see Projects for information on current and future projects).
This annual event would not be possible without the generous support of artists, individuals, corporations ... and our hardworking committee members.
